Like children competing at a primary school sports day, everyone wins a prize at the Technical Image Press Awards (TIPA).
And why wouldn’t they? Given the manufacturer of each winning product has to pay a hefty licence fee to TIPA to use the logo for promotional purposes, the more category slicing and dicing, the more potential revenue, and the smarter the location for next year’s junket judging get-together. (This year the judges were flown to Havana, Cuba, with the award ceremony to take place in Tokyo in June. TIPA is located in Madrid. So TIPA gets the award for Largest Carbon Footprint, Product Judging category!)
